The IR+ Series is a scalable, high performance TDM/Ethernet radio. It provides Ethernet performance up to 600 Mbps or to 300Mbps full duplex and TDM configurations up to 32 E1/STM 1. The IR+ is the ideal platform for users looking to the future of wireless backhaul.
The IR+ series can be configured with a range of ODU options from 6Ghz to 38Ghz spectrum areas, as well as a configuration low frequency module that provides high speed backhaul in the 1.8/2.1/2.2Ghz frequency bands.
The IR+ scalable Ethernet performances makes it ideal for WiMAX or HSDPA backhaul. With the Australian made low frequency module it can span over 100km. With Full Duplex Ethernet throughput of up to 300Mbps today, and future direction to provide 600Mbps using XPIC cross polarization technology, the IR+ is ideal for organization looking to provide high speed IP backhaul over long distances.
The IR+ Series Link can be configured as 1+0, 1+1 with protection, 1+1 with diversity ( SD or FD supported ), and 2+0.
The modem and power supply functions are supported using easily replaceable plug-in modules. 1+0 is easily upgradeable to 1+1 or regenerate ( east/west repeater ) terminal.
The IR+ leads the industry not only in its scalability of interfaces ( from low density E1, through optical and electrical STM1, and multiple Ethernet interfaces )but also in its reliability having a complete 1+1 option, as well as understanding Ethernet protocols like Spanning Tree, allowing the IR+ to be used to build complete Ethernet ring network with automatic fail over.
The equipment includes integrated Operations, Administration, Maintenance and Provisioning ( OAM&P ) functionality and design features enabling simple commissioning when the radio network is initially set up in the field at the customer premises.
