AMAG Tropical Series its a FSO ( Free Space Optic ) device that comes in two different type of product, The products are Tropical GigAir & Tropical MegAir.

Tropical GigAir is a Free Space Optical system designed to enable very high speed communication of voice, data and video. This system can transmit data rates up to 1Gbps. Tropical GigAir is available in 500m system and 1km system where in 500m system its contain 1RX & 1TX module while in 1km system it contain 1RX & 3TX module.

Tropical MegAir is designed to enable high speed communication of voice, data and video. This system can transmit data rates up to 155Mbps. Tropical MegAir is available in 0.2~2km syatem and 2km~4km system where in 0.2~2km system it contain 1RX & 1TX module while in 2km~4km system it contain 1RX & 3Tx module.

Both Tropical GigAir & MegAir Series is customized for tropical latitudes with special SNMP features.

FSO ( Free Space Optic ) Technology

• Point-to-point, infra red, Wireless transmission system that is ideal for any type of wireless deployment that has direct line of sight.
• Standard data or telecommunications signal are converted into   digital format and transmitted through Free Space.
• Providing high bandwidth and reliable communications over short distances.
• Like fiber, FSO uses lasers to transmit data, but in instead of enclosing the data stream in a glass fiber, it is trasmitted through air.
